Welcome to the CSE

Welcome to the CSE! Whether you’re an innovator with a great idea or someone interested in learning more about social entrepreneurship, the CSE offers a number of programs and resources to help you. Based on our conviction that social entrepreneurship education is integral to the 21st-century liberal arts, we offer students, faculty, staff, and alumni opportunities to reflect, connect, analyze, and engage with the world around them.

On this website, you can learn about the programming and resources that we offer to the Middlebury community as well as others interested in social entrepreneurship. Through the academic year, we offer a regular speaker series and our MLab, a gathering every Friday designed to help students learn to be effective agents of social change. Our annual symposium is a celebration every January of social entrepreneurship on our campus and beyond. Our annual Bread Loaf faculty and staff forum is a chance for leaders from campuses across the United States to reflect on the past academic year and plan for the year ahead. We offer students an opportunity to apply for our summer grants challenge as well as a prestigious multi-year fellowship.

Learn more about our mission and team, take a look at our blog, check out all the social-entrepreneurship related offerings in the Middlebury ecosystem, and come visit or be in touch. If you are looking for support for a project, visit our Project Resource Page. We hope to see you here soon.

The Middlebury Center for Social Entrepreneurship supports students and their projects all over the world. Find out where our students have gone.
