Andrea Wollensak, Professor, Director, The Ammerman Center for Arts & Technology, Connecticut College
Andrea Wollensak is Professor of Art and the Judith Ammerman ’60 Director of The Ammerman Center for Arts & Technology at Connecticut College. Her teaching focuses on design as an interdisciplinary practice-based study that introduces students to and prepares them to be creative problem solvers creating a positive impact in society. Andrea’s work has earned her international artist residencies and fellowships, as well grants from the Rockefeller Foundation, Banff Centre for the Arts, International Studio Program in Sweden (IASPIS), and a collaborative grant from the National Science Foundation. In addition, the Ammerman Center recently received a Mellon Foundation grant to redesign its curriculum and develop a social innovation component.
