The Business Model Generation Canvas is an invaluable tool that helps you map out nine essential components of any project, organization, or venture. In this session, you will use this canvas to define your own personal project or social venture. Anke Wessels is the Executive Director of the Center for Transformative Action (CTA), an independent, education-based non-profit organization affiliated with Cornell University.

Anke Wessels is the Executive Director of the Center for Transformative Action (CTA), an independent, education-based non-profit organization affiliated with Cornell University. We have over forty years of experience cultivating change makers with innovative projects to resolve pressing social problems. We do this by offer hands-on educational programs in Transformative Action and social entrepreneurship at Cornell and in the region. We also provide fiscal sponsorship and back-office services to social ventures based in New York state, which become part of CTA and embody Transformative Action. Inspired by leading practitioners of non-violence, Transformative Action calls for courage to break the silence that surrounds injustices; patience and compassion for the ultimately liberating work of building an inclusive movement; imagination to stay free from “us vs. them” strategies; and inspiration to envision new solutions to common challenges.
